With Flights of Fancy, the world was our oyster. The assignment guidelines were to include one example of morphing, and at least three examples of the Principles of Animation we had been learning about. I chose to animate Kirby, as I thought he’d lend himself well to all of the above.

In my Intro to Animation class, one of our first animations was a classic: the Ball Bounce. It introduced us to the “Squash and Stretch” Principle of Animation.
